Unexpected power outages are a fact of life.  Bad weather, accidents causing damaged poles or wires and over extended power grids are the main causes of power outages.  Aside from being inconvenient, power outages can damage expensive equipment and can result in loss of revenue for businesses.  In Southern states loss of air conditioning may also allow for mold damage.  Emergency power systems ensure that your home or business has a reliable source of power twenty four-seven.

Palmer Electric is a Generac Power Systems dealer and offers a variety of solutions to ensure that your specific needs are met.  Generac is America’s No.1 selling home standby generator and provides efficient power systems for commercial and industrial use.

Palmer Electric offers additional options such as the Quiet Test feature and the Load Shed feature.  Models with the Quiet Test feature are able to run in their weekly self test at low-speed.  This greatly reduces the noise, fuel consumption and exhaust created by the weekly exercise.  The Load Shed feature allows you to get more efficient use of your generator by distinguishing between essential (i.e. air conditioner unit) and non-essential power (i.e. pool pump).  If the control panel senses a surge in demand causing voltage irregularities, it will shut off the non-essential circuits.  This ensures that the essential circuits continue to receive consistent voltage and frequency.  Our emergency power systems run off of liquid propane or natural gas to ensure continuous fuel and low emissions.  For industrial use we offer bi-fuel options.  Bi-fuel units start on diesel fuel and add natural gas as load is applied allowing for increased run times, minimal on-site fuel storage, reduced fuel maintenance, reduced environmental risk and lower particulate and NOx emissions.  Our units are protected by durable steel or aluminum enclosures.

Palmer Electric also provides full service to all emergency power systems.  Service packages can be purchased along with the system or separate if a system is already on site.  We service Generac, Kohler and Taylor, among other systems.  Our certified technicians and electricians provide service to power systems and transfer switches.
